Environmental Toxins & Pesticides

ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS INCLUDING PESTICIDES

Environmental toxins are  everywhere around us. It is almost impossible in today’s world to avoid exposure to some level of toxic substance. Even some of the most natural habitats in the world are suffering from the impact of industrial waste.

One of the greatest concerns we have is avoiding high amount of poisonous pesticides that are continuously sprayed on our food supply. When consuming these foods that contain high residuals of the pesticides we are taking poisons into our bodies on a daily basis.

We encourage each person to buy organically grown (unsprayed) produce whenever possible especially from the Dirty Dozen list, at the very least. Chemical exposure is one of the major contributors to low vitality.

Chemical toxins may have many different adverse affects on each individual in vastly different ways depending upon their individual biochemical make-up. A person’s health has a lot to do with whether or not the immune system will be able to protect the body from the range of chemical ingredients. The immune system can become seriously impaired by continuous exposure to chemicals.

Some chemical exposures act to suppress immunity, while others cause the immune system to over compensate. Situations where the immune system acts to suppress immunity, it leaves one open to infections and viruses. When the immune system overreacts it leads to autoimmune diseases in which the immune system will attack the body’s own healthy cells. Arthritis, lupus, and some thyroid disorders are examples.

In order to counteract the effects of our environment toxins have on our bodies we need to be have correct levels of proper nutrients. (One reason why we recommend certain vitamins)

Recommendations to consider in creating a change towards better health include:

•   Reduce the overall toxic load by removing toxins from your environment
(E.g. makeup and skin care products)
and offending foods (E.g. Toxic fish and pesticide sprayed veggies)
plus additives from your diet.

•   Restore your body’s pH to its normal balance so that cellular systems begin to function normally (Talk to our Coaches to find out more if needed).

•   Begin a supervised detoxification program using correct vitamins and supplements aimed at removing toxins stored in body.

•   Take an infrared sauna whenever possible so that you sweat out toxins that are stored in the body’s fat (must be infrared to get the maxium benefits)

•   Support the endocrine, immune, and liver systems.

•   Begin a program of stress management.

•   Restore gastrointestinal function using fibre and probiotic.
